I will be the moderator for a panel discussion with the Jaipur Literature Festival with the authors Sarah Schantz, Keele Burgin, and Tiffany Quay Tyson in the Brook room of the Boulder Public Library at 1:00 on Sunday, September 22nd.

I will be a feature reader at the Cannon Mine Cafe in Lafayette, October 10th at 7:00. Come with poems to read for the open mic!

I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for my poem “Mother, My Ashes,” by Narrative Northeast. I went through a stage after our house fire where I wrote epistolary poems. It is one of three that they published:

I’m teaching a poetry writing class at Front Range Community College on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-3:45. By the end of the class, you will have a portfolio of ten poems. I will also teach strategies for publishing your work. The classes tend to be small and personal. By the end of the class, you will have the tools to write good poems and how to publish them!

I’ll be reading with fellow poets at the Trident Booksellers and Cafe at 940 Pearl Street on October 10th at 7:00pm. We are all local, award-winning poets, and it should be a fun reading. Please join us!

Poetry Workshop: In the Labyrinth: I will be teaching a poetry workshop in the month of October, Sundays 10:00-12:30. It runs October 7th to the 28th. The cost is $200 for the whole workshop or $60 if doing individual workshops. Please contact me if interested at and I will send you more information. We will be delving into different poetic forms and learning how to delve into the labyrinth of language of poetry.
