I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for my poem “Mother, My Ashes,” by Narrative Northeast. I went through a stage after our house fire where I wrote epistolary poems. It is one of three that they published: http://www.narrativenortheast.com/?p=5561
Check out a taste of my fiction at https://www.riotmaterial.com/hunting-in-the-dark/ This is an example of a book I’m writing about a protagonist Joan, who is flawed and a bit crazy. Enjoy!
I’m teaching a poetry writing class at Front Range Community College on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-3:45. By the end of the class, you will have a portfolio of ten poems. I will also teach strategies for publishing your work. The classes tend to be small and personal. By the end of the class, you will have the tools to write good poems and how to publish them!
Poetry Reading with Valerie Szarek and Amy Straus Friedman
I’ll be reading with fellow poets at the Trident Booksellers and Cafe at 940 Pearl Street on October 10th at 7:00pm. We are all local, award-winning poets, and it should be a fun reading. Please join us!
Poetry Workshop: In the Labyrinth: I will be teaching a poetry workshop in the month of October, Sundays 10:00-12:30. It runs October 7th to the 28th. The cost is $200 for the whole workshop or $60 if doing individual workshops. Please contact me if interested at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you more information.
